Lambing felt odd this year. Maybe it was because our first ewe to give birth wasn't supposed to have been bred? Or maybe it was the endless winter and extremely wet spring? I don't know. But here we are, May 1st, and we are down to just one ewe left, who I think will only have a single lamb. We currently have 11 lambs on running around, living the best little lamb life possible. 6 are purebred Navajo-Churro, 5 are 1/2 Navajo- Churro, 1/2 Gotland. We'll most likely finish the season with 12 healthy, vibrant lambs, possibly even 13. I call that a success!
